The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Response is a core part of the work at the LCCAC
At the LCCAC, children tell their story once to a trained interviewer who knows the right questions to ask in a way that does not re-traumatize the child.
The MDT observe the interview from another room and make decisions together about how to best help each child.
Based on the interview, we offer therapy, medical exams, courtroom preparation, victim advocacy, case management, and other services.
Linden is an important part of the LCCAC team. The work he does
goes beyond measure and we are grateful for his dedication to
supporting the children of Lake County.
Duo Dog Linden is a Labrador Retriever who was placed at the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center by Duo Dogs located in St. Louis.
Linden was raised and trained by Duo Dogs for the first two years of his life to become a facility dog.
Linden can help provide courage and comfort to a child during a forensic interview, provide silent support
when a child has to testify in court, and give a sense of relief to our families.
Linden’s presence also provides education, well-being, and relief when engaging with the community.
